I wondered if LibertyGlobal would just milk Virgin Media when they bought it. However, I've been pleasantly surprised to see this has not been the case and they're investing in areas like network expansion, buying Smallworld and getting the remaining Sky Sports channels in HD.
I think all telecoms providers have been guilty of above-inflation price rises but someone needs to keep those footballers in the style to which they are accustomed and a bit more as well!

We have an older Samsung in a bedroom what still seems to get app updates however I take your point , for me personally though the STB's are just too slow when using streaming services , my YV box whilst acceptable is considerably slower to load and navigate. At the end of the day all devices will become obsolete at some point however I agree with a streaming box your losing far less than a TV. |
Vestel and Panasonic will be producing FreeviewPlay Smart TVs and Sony will be producing YouView TVs. These platforms should stay the course of time. However, that's not to say that the TVs themselves won't end up being relatively slow in the way that you've found with YouView.
