Just a variation on pinning the rosette on a donkey or even a bucket of poo to get it elected. Some seats are that safe. The comment was in bad taste but non-the-less true.
Only a handful of seats actually matter at the general election. The rest might as well not even bother such is the inherant unfairness of the FPTP system.
