I think always on gps is better , as I mentioned my mum went a walk as normal a couple of weeks ago and got lost and in her state of mind she just keeps walking. So needing to see her location rather than where she might have been is very important. It may mean finding her i minutes rather than hours. She can walk fast for a 72 yr old.
