I want to control what I watch and when.

Having 3 or even 4 (USA models) is key for our family and the constant clashes we have with recordings we want all on at the same time. We also tend to watch series (not episodes) so like to build up our own "DIY" box set and the Tivo is perfect for that right now. Having 1 channel to watch and 1 chanel to record is simply not enough.

The answer to this could be to record directly to "the cloud", now that would be interesting!
So your suggesting you have to record to local storage (HDD) then upload to the cloud , I'd severely doubt that.
