My virgin network should be around 150Mb,

When i connect my laptop directly to the router i get around 90Mbps, which i am happy with.

When i connect my desktop i only get 7.47Mbps. I have un installed any programs like PC Tuneup that may be affecting my download speed, but have not got a clue what else to do to increase my speed.
Upload speed is 8.61Mbps - Again happy with this speed.

All connections via Same Ethernet cable.

This has got to be a setting on the desktop somewhere. Desktop is a packard bell, approx 4 years old.
I am running Windows 8.1
Any advice appreciated.
