would 5.4Ghz be better than 2.4Ghz

Ive been reading up some posts from around the net and it seems that the wireless sender kits give out really bad end results on your tv screen, grainy and poor quality. I don't want this to happen as its important to have them both crystal clear. I don't want to leave it to chance so would laying wire down be better. I have no carpets down yet so if its possible I would like to do it now instead of later so they can be hidden.
