Still cannot understand why Oldham are getting involved until or unless Ched Evans has won his appeal review but if he did do so they would not be able to afford him. Rumoured that his girlfriends father who is a millionaire and a friend of Simon Corney, the owner of Oldham Athletic is going to pay his wages and possibly even make up some of the sponsorship shortfall. Not sure he would match the Sports direct money but he could possibly cover the other two.
If he does eventually get cleared it will look like a great piece of business but at the moment it is rather stupid IMHO.
