Re: Talk talk fibre package - cable TV?

The Virgin cable network is privately owned by them and only serves part of the country. Talk Talk, generally speaking, resell BT's fibre product. To get TV from Talk Talk you don't need a separate cable, because the channels you get are a mixture of freeview through your aerial and streaming channels through your internet connection.

If you want their TV offering then you need to subscribe to it on top of your broadband subscription for extra money. You'll then be provided with a set top box, youview, which you'll need to connect to your router AND existing aerial.

The engineer will, in terms of what you will see, leave you with a new router. Most of their work will be outside.
