I'm quite capable of forming an opinion on the poor management of the BBC and the tv tax without relying on comment from the Sun, etc, thank you very much.
You only have to look at the channel 4 stable to see how public service television can be run by a public organisation but be self-funding.
Re: Maggie's comment I suggest the spirit of goodwill might have lasted longer if people hadn't been told off for wishing each other a Merry Christmas!
