You seem to have completely failed to grasp how inflation works and the definition of "average".

My point is for an inflation figure to exist at all half of the counted items must rise by more than inflation. If everything rose by equal or less than inflation, inflation would rapidly tend towards minus infinity.

As for cost of living, the majority of people in the world do not require premium broadband or cable TV for living.
