It would be better if VM could keep BBC3 as a linear service. It could be a selling point/publicity and programmes could be recorded.

Satellite, Freeview and all the hybrid Freeview services wouldn't be able to do this.
If I'm honest, I don't think BBC3 will ever be a major selling point between choosing between VM and a rival. We are not talking about Sky Atlantic or a Sports Channel. I haven't moved to Sky because they have SA, I'm certainly not going to move just because they have BBC 3 as a linear channel.

As someone pointed out, the demographic target audience will have access to the internet if they want to watch a certain programme.

Having a red button option will probably be the way VM will go.
