As pointed out by MediaBoy, there's also an announcement from LFCTV. So, we now have two contradictory announcements both of which are still live on these two organisations' respective websites. It's a fiasco!

Then 1.5 hours later came Virgin's update:

The decision to remove the channel from our free listings today has been made by the channel provider. From Tuesday 4th November, it will become a subscription-based channel, and will not be available on our TV services.
