We have 3 Tivo boxes. 2 working fine. The 3rd will not power up - it stays with the 'Starting Up' message forever - once in a while rebooting from cold start (the TV loses its signal for several seconds before the 'Starting Up' message comes back).

Have physically swapped the duff unit with another Tivo in another room, and without changing anything the replacement comes up - and the duff Tivo then won't work in the other room. Therefore this has to be a broken Tivo.

Our Tivo's recently updated (separately) during the early hours. I happened to be awake and watching this duff unit at the point it failed around 5am one morning - without warning it suddenly rebooted, and never got past the 'Starting Up' screen since.

Does this sound like I need to place a support call? I am assuming there is no mystery button for resetting the firmware.
