Seriously however the Premier League became a product a long time ago. If anyone still expects top-level football to be about the local fans rather than television and the global brand then this will help them wake up. You need to approach the Premier League for what it is, a commercial product for which you pay with your season ticket/subscription/shirt etc. I find the constant outrage every time the league suggests a plan to make money to be naive at best and disingenuous at worst.
