Just to elaborate slightly.

Drives sold as SATA1, SATA2, SATA3...etc all have the same connector just the ability to transmit data at different speeds through the interface.

They are all revisions of the same connector.

Realistically, it's your motherboard that will be the limitation here so a SATA3 drive on a SATA1 motherboard will connect at SATA1 speeds.
