Its a very similar idea that Swansea Council has introduced along Swansea marina.

You pay a monthly fee and all u have to have is a wireless dongle if u have a PC like my mate. Swansea one is awfully slow, it gives u the option to choose to one of 3 channels then you sign in using your browser and just use the net.

The Council stated the internet is upto 20mb but my mate is lucky to get 2mb at any time. The council blamed the dongle he was using which was a TPLink Dual Band USB dongle so he went out and bought a netgear dual band dongle and it made no difference what so ever.

Its so bad when you scan for wireless networks a lot of people in the building have sky or BT and the flats are less than 2 years old so the council should be working with whatever ISP is on the marina to fix the issue but they havnt.
