I'm going to be slightly biased of course, as 3D doesn't actually work for me so my experience is lessened by having to pay more and wear a stupid pair of sunglasses that dull the film quite a bit. Still, (and yes I know it's anecdotal) my friends and family will veer towards a 2D screening if possible.

I like 3D and have always taken the opportunity to see big films in 3D wherever possible. Admittedly, I don't go the cinema a huge amount as it's so damn expensive, but I saw
Avatar, Life of Pi & Godzilla all in 3D and they were all awesome.
I would love to watch 3D TV but I'm too damn tight to pay extra for it, so that may also be a reason why Sky are not getting the subscribers for which they might have hoped.
