Also, SKY and BBC are saying that 97% of the electorate turned out to vote. Maybe we should have a referendum every election time, that way we could guarantee a decent turnout. Wonder what sort of turnout figure a referendum on leaving the EU would get?

Not exactly. 97% of all those entitled to be on the electoral roll, are on it. That in itself is a very high number, but what we don't yet know is how many of those who got on to the roll, have actually turned out to vote.
The turnout will be announced at each count, as it is calculated. The only one we know so far is Edinburgh, which is 89%. BBC Scotland political editor Brian Taylor is saying he does not believe a high turnout will favour one side or the other. He thinks everyone in Scotland has been equally fired up for this.
