Well. Let's see what state George Square's in by tomorrow lunchtime, eh. I don't wish for trouble, but if the result is No, as looks most likely right now, there are some people who have been told so assuredly, for so long, that Yes was on the march, they are going to have a very hard time accepting it.
Missus has friends on her Facebook feed right now, swapping rumours of a poll that gives Yes 63% and asking if a No win is therefore sufficient evidence in itself of ballot rigging. Others have been telling each other not to trust the pencils all day, and have been taking their own pens to the ballot stations, despite warnings that ink impressions folded onto the wrong part of the paper actually increases the chances of their ballot being spoiled.
In all honesty, some of the talk sounds like what you would expect from people who have just been rescued from a religious cult. And they are going to take a while to de-programme.
