A YouGov on-the-day poll (not quite an exit poll, but the next best thing) gives No an 8-point lead. SNP and Greens are both on BBC Scotland's coverage claiming a "victory for democracy" and hailing the "unprecedented engagement" - they sound very much like they're laying the foundations for accepting defeat and then trying to claim credit for a political awakening which, I assume, they would like to claim the right to direct and channel. Danny Alexander, meanwhile, is trying to sound measured and cautious but is clearly having a hard time not sounding confident of victory.

As things stand, the two most recent polls show the gap has widened again in the last 48 hours, and all involved are expecting the actual results to reflect that.
