I have a work EE phone and coverage in a field in Devon is better than I get at home. Because it's a business connection I've been given a signal booster that effectively routes the signal over my broadband. Issues are that it's using my mains to power it and if the BB is out then my nice boosted signal is also out.

I think EE issues are as they turn off Orange/T-mobile transmitters where there is overlap. If they turn off the stronger one near you - tough. But I'm not over sure on this but it seems logical.
