No one knows what will happen in the negotiations. But for commercial and funding reasons, the BBC does not want to loose £320 millions in license fee money.
One proposal, which you partly talked about was the SBS proposal, hive off BBC Scotland services, keep/buy in the best network programming, as they do in Ireland (the programmes air at exactly the same time!). The rest of the schedule is made in Scotland or imported.
The BBC could remain, have a presence via BBC Scotland/SBS like the S4C model
BBC can't just disappear, there is freesat and as I already stated commercial funding reasons meaning the BBC just won't let 5 million viewers or listeners go.
