As I read it, the £10 monthly sub gets you 250 mins, unlim text, 1GB

At GiffGaff, the £10 goodybag gives 500 mins, unlim texts, 1GB - and the freedom of pay as you go - the out of tariff rates on most contracts absolutely STINK!

Carphonewarehouse also have a couple of pretty good 12 month with chequeback deals for Orange or T-mob - if you want the EE network.
