I should probably do that, I've been running my own qasdfdsaq.com domain for many years, which really doesn't do anything particularly useful yet.

This is the nature of the global DNS system. No changes are instant. There are millions of servers to update, many of which are set to only check for changes on a cycle of anywhere from once an hour to once every 7 days.
