It's the first time that VM have done a Sky Sports freeview since the unsubscribed recording restriction was required by Sky as far as I know (and possibly ever), so I would expect that any issues identified will have been noted to avoid in the future.
However, as someone over on the Community Forum pointed out, this is in the T&Cs:
