The date in August will be your upgrade date which tends to be around 45 days before your contract ends on Orange. You can talk to Orange at any point to get your PAC code and your number will transfer one working day after you give it to VM. If you do it before your contract ends you will have to pay for any remaining months in your contract so if you did it in August you'd have to pay your August and September bill but once your contract ends you can do it at any time with no fee
