Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2014) Vol. 3

No offence taken mate, its all about opinions on here. Yeah, the HD channels will be nice, but if VM are not allowed to have them yet (they may be still be exclusive to Sky - I have seen no info to say if they are or are not), there is nothing they can do. The cost of the channels might be deemed too high as well. Thankfully, the only programs I have watched and enjoyed in the past on Universal are available on other HD channels, so if I choose to watch the odd episode now and again I can watch them in HD. As such, I can live without it. The sooner Nat Geo Wild HD gets here though, the better.

In all honesty, I have tried GOT twice now and I still find it very boring. I have started on the books and they are far superior. I watched Banshee and by the end, I could take it or leave it. The end was pretty predictable in my eyes, and I don't know where they can take the show in the second series. The main characters are still going to try and stay alive and stop Rabbit killing them. The cop will try and hide his true identity, and kill who ever he needs to. The only other option they have is if the cop and his girlfriend/Rabbits daughter teams up with Rabbit and they try and take control of the town. Either way, the show will just revolve around sex, alcohol and lots of fighting. I wont lose no sleep by not seeing it.

I must admit though True Detective (rented via lovefilm) was excellent and I have ordered Blue Bloods as well, based on friends recommendations. Penny Dreadful's premise seems ludicrous to me, and if it's adverts are anything to go by, Veep is certainly not for me. I don't know much about the rest of the programs because I am really not bothered by them.

As for Sky 1, I think the last time I even looked at that channel was when Banshee was on it.
