The 'season ticket offer' is a good offer but its a shame the HD still carries the extra monthly premium. Sports (and Films) in particular benefit from HD but the overall cost is still more than i am prepared to pay so i am unlikely to take up the offer.
when i first heard about the 'season ticket' i tried to find some info and found this...

You can imagine how excited i was when i read that -it indicated the bundle included HD and premier sports, racing and box nation.. now THAT would have been an offer too good to refuse.
I am not saying the sky sports season ticket is not a good offer because clearly it offers a substantial saving on the monthly price. But i still feel sports subscriptions are overpriced if you want all the channels and HD. Isnt it about time sky and virgin started to look at these HD premiums..if you have the Big Kahuna you are paying an extra £7 a month for watching 6 HD versions of sky sports channels . Not value in my eyes.
just going back to that link i posted- imagine you could pay up front or a sports package that had ALL the channels and in HD- £150 a year for that or maybe slightly more say £200 would be more reasonable. £200 a year to watch sports i think is a fairer price than the current levels and imagine what the increase in subscriptions would be.
