I have never been abused by, or abused, anyone myself so I cannot say what goes through their mind, but I have read in the past that rape is often perpetrated because it gives the rapist a feeling of power over the victim. This is why it's perfectly possible for a heterosexual man to rape another man. It's not about sex, it's about exerting power.
Could it not be the same with Paedos? The likes of Rolf Harris and Jimmy Saville were certainly in positions that gave them a lot of power. Perhaps they got addicted to that?
