By 20th July means by race day for the German Grand Prix weekend. It's also a Sunday, and unless I'm mistaken that pretty fairly rules it out as a launch day, although I'm sure there have been Sunday launches. A Thursday launch is more likely, and would allow for the entire race weekend, not just the race day, to be broadcast live. I think now 17th is probable, it's after the World Cup and before the 20th, on a day of the week which is more likely to see channel launches. I think Virgin's press release also included a picture from f1.

It's no wonder McLaren are struggling. Again.
Or that Merc are doing well, depending on which news outlet's got it right!
