Is it correct that there were repeated problems with the feed for this channel from abroad (Scandinavia I think) and that cable companies had to have broadcast tapes on standby as a result of this recurring problem?
Also, is it correct (in the days before I went onto cable) that both TCC and Granada Breeze continued broadcasting on cable for a time after closing on satellite?
I have been told that this was to meet contractual obligations, but surely if a channel closes down there would have been a provision in the agreement to terminate the cable service at the same time
What was shown? I assume that they just threw any old archive material on, just to comply with their contract, but I don't know for sure.
