Seems to me that parents have the right to parent their children especially at the point they are supporting them financially whilst they get the qualifications that will set them up for the future.I can assure you that respect will follow at a later date when said children realise the importance of their parents input into their lives.After all far better to have parents who care rather than the average couldn't give a toss sort I so often saw during my teaching career.
