Due to my working hours, I often watch television throughout the time when the V+ box freezes for updates- about 3.15am onwards at the moment.

I wondered if deleting my old series links would reduce the unesponsive time of the box?

My thinking is that the box won't be wasting time searching for programmes to record that it is never going to find as the series are long finished.

It takes AGES to delete series links, with long delays between the screens, so I'd like to know that I won't be wasting my time beforehand
