my mother lives in a very rural location with b*gger all by way of mobile signal, and doesn't have broadband (because at 83 she has no desire to join the digital age, no matter how hard society tells her she should).
So if I have to go and look after her for a period of time (or just to visit) I want to know that I can take lots of films/kindle books/magazines/my own music/radio 4 podcasts/etc etc on my additional sd card.
Same applies by the way for a hospital stay (try getting access to broadband in our city hospital)

So to me, an SD card is an important feature.
Its got USB OTG so just hook up a usb drive, or meenova type of thing, I've got a 64 Gig card connected to mine right now, and I have the 32 Gb model.

It's a seriously nice tablet for the money you wont get better.
