Drives me crackers when I update to a new version of Windoze in that I have to spend a week or so tweaking the registry etc to undo all the crap that gets tacked on.

Why, oh Why, oh why, can't I have a button that says look like this (specified) UI version?
Mucking about with the look and feel is always an easier option than working on the core issues. By changing the look many will think it's a new version instead of a facelift. Windows 8 for instance does have some new features i admit but the change of ui was there biggest change and it has for most people been a complete disaster.
