Never skimp on the cam belt, if it breaks most engines are toast. If the belt drives the water pump change that and the tensioner at the same time. They cost little but failure will be expensive.

Service book said belt done at 38k (now on 43k) invoice (found after I brought the car) didn't mention anything other than oil & filters so I called the garage that had done the service, their computer says no!
Additional expense but your right if it's time, get it done. I'm looking at keeping the car for at least the next 5 years so it'll be booked in for the week after next. £250 I ain't got but.......
