I can't get VM; prior to an FTTC campaign that lasted the best part of 2 years I was on a service that fluctuated between 0.5 and 1.5Mb/s.

When I could get VM my area, Mortlake, was pretty much last to get upgrades due to the network there being in need of overbuild. Looking at the upload upgrades I see poor brow-beaten Barry was already upgraded in the 7th February 2011 schedule, as indeed were Swansea, St Mellons and Cwmbran, in fact they were among the first areas to be done, with Newport East done as of early February. Newport West and Cwmbwrla, the stragglers, were due by July 2011.

The affluent suburb of South-West London I lived in didn't receive the upgrade until over a year later than most of Wales and 6 months after the last areas to be upgraded in the country.

Silly facts; they do tend to get in the way of a good self-pitying rant.
