Check the prices online and get an equivalent cost from Sky - go armed with these figures and see what they offer. Be nice, but make it seem as though you are seriously considering leaving due to your archaic equipment and cost. Don't accept the first offer, press them as there is usually a better one waiting in the background. Expect to have to sign up to a new contract - but you want a good deal for that.
Forget the iPhone - waste of money, particularly on the Mrs
Get it separately from VM - the Motorola Moto G is not much difference and £400 cheaper.
