I've got no idea if it was this signal or not, the only information that I have is what I've posted.
I didn't know that the state of their jet engines were monitored remotely by Rolls Royce, what a good idea.
If the signals were intended for Rolls Royce, I wonder why they haven't made a public statement to help, rather than leave it to a third party? (of course, they may have done so in private). I also wonder why Inmarsat were reluctant to be known as the source of this information?
Being shown as keen to help in a humanitarian situation like this wouldn't do their PR any harm.
This situation gets more odd as each day goes by.
