I have identified this company as being Inmarsat. This states that no timings have been given, but I believe that it was about 4 hours after the disappearance.

I believe you are referring to the engine management signal sent from the engines to Rolls Royce ,this is standard in all modern Rolls Royce airplane engines and is common knowledge
