Daisy Group provides communications services to businesses so a potential bolt-on to Virgin Media Business.
Informal talks between Daisy Group and Virgin Media have taken place in recent months.
It is not known if Virgin Media will bid for the company.
Negotiations have stalled over price with Daisy holding out for a value of £600m compared to a current market value of £502m.
