On Fox News, so I don't know how accurate this is, but a commentator on there said the the planes Transponder, and ACAR systems had been turned off this plane before it deviated course.
Which is why they are having such problems determining where it went. Essentially the only way to track the plane then is by RADAR, of which it just becomes blip on a screen and only as far as you have RADAR coverage.
If this is true, combined with stories of people being able to ring phones etc.
I don't know. it starts to look a bit weird.
Disabling the Transponder and ACAR, if true, suggests a deliberate act to try and fly the plane undetected.
I'm not going to jump on the conspiricy bandwagon, I still think it crashed somewhere, but it is an interesting mystery at the moment.
