It's the
subscription streaming rights that are the problem, not the selling of an episode or season ---- the new amazon Prime instant video does that as well as Blinkbox.
It's the £x a month for unlimited streaming of current and past seasons of HBO shows that looks to have been tied up exclusively with Sky and unlikely to come to VM, unless VM do a deal with Sky for Atlantic, which seems very unlikely at this point in time.
