High Utilisation

I'm considering switching my BB back to VM , my other options are FTTC as BT have installed a cab just up the road and my exchange seems to be accepting orders just not on our cab yet

Last time I was with VM our area suffered badly with high utilisation grinding our 30mb to a halt at peak time.

I've searched my postcode on the community site and there's been nothing since the middle of last year reported. Is the network still as bad for high utilisation and how long does it take them to fix when an area suffers from this ?

I'm not really well up on the tech side of cable BB but seem to read a lot about people having 8 downstream channels , what's this and do you get this on all tiers ?
