All I can think is that it may simply have more films, perhaps a more extensive back catalogue? Maybe Dish will do global studio deals so that Blockbuster has earlier access to some studios' films? I agree it needs to do something different. But any competition in this area is a good thing as it will hold down prices.

Thanks. I've always thought that VM should have done an IPTV box for non-cable areas. It would probably need to be sold under a different brand name but Virgin Media has a few at its disposal including NTL. Whilst it may have been hard to get rights to some Sky channels, it would have enabled VM to keep customers who move between cabled and non-cabled areas. I think TalkTalk TV and BT TV mean this idea would be a non-starter now.
