To be honest, I wouldn't be subscribing to Netflix if it wasn't on TiVo and I would probably have cut the cable by now if I want subscribing to Netflix. I know that sounds a bit odd, but despite having a range of devices I can use Netflix with, TiVo is just there, already hooked up to my tv and the integrated search results don't make me feel like I'm constantly swapping about to browse available content. More importantly for me I only need one remote!

I can understand why at first glance it seems a strange fit but actually I think the platform now offers a great compromise between linear tv channels with a recording function and streaming/od services.

Which is irritating because they've now removed the functionality of the TiVo so far from the US version that I'm no longer that interested in keeping it.
