Ah, right, that sounds a bit crap, then. I hope you're giving this as feedback to MS!

So when outputting the DTS/Dolby bitstream over HDMI it's not outputting DTS/Dolby HD, just normal DTS/Dolby?



Also, can you select Dolby *and* DTS? Or is it one *or* the other?

If I'm to use my Xbox One for media instead of my PS3, I want it to be able to output both without me changing it each time depending on what the disc is encoded with.

On the PS3 (and I'm sure also the 360), it can output both Dolby and DTS without you having to pick one *or* the other - no need to switch formats each time you play a DVD/BD that uses the other one. Disc that uses Dolby? It will output Dolby. Disc that uses DTS? It will output DTS.
