Exclamation Ipad Codecs

Hi Peeps,

This is baffling me, I hope someone can help me out here.

Basically, I have a Galaxy Tab, and my Ex has an iPad 3.

I have set up a NAS server for movies so she can watch them and so can I, for some reason I can watch what i want, no matter what codec, Xvid, Mp4, Avi etc etc. But when she tries to watch it, she cant, unless its Mp4.

I used to have an issue with my galaxy tab so i downloaded a different player which i set as my default player, similar to what you can do in Windows. But her Ipad wont let you do this. Its called MX player.

It seems as though she is stuck with the default player on the Ipad and can never watch AVI or Xvid?

Forgive me if i sound stupid, but can this be changed? Considering the majority of movies nowadays are mp4 i understand that they might not support xvid or avi but its still a widely recognized format. There must be a way to change the default player to something i use like MX player?
