Virgin and its predecessors were the original leaders in developing on demand services, but now seem seriously to be lagging both Sky and other platforms.
OK, I know that at lot of UKTV content is old stuff, and also that shows may be repeated several times if you don't manage to record them, but there is now much more original material than there used to be. |

Virgin Media were offered the UK TV VOD service on the same terms as Sky and at the same time, but have declined to avail themselves of it thus far. Speculation suggests that the cost could not be justified because the content is often repeated and some of the programmes are available on the iplayer anyway. Maybe the new owners will have a change of heart??
