Again though he has just signed for Munich. I think United isn't an attractive job right now, the squad needs a lot of work, there isn't as much money as City or Chelsea, and they'll be following someone who set a standard they're extremely unlikely to meet. Moyes may not be perfect but he has been given a impossible task and I think he is the man you need to back to get it done. Someone has to do it.

The whole brand and business model was different, the attacking style of football was almost non existent. The step-up from Aberdeen to United (of 1986) was not as big as Everton to United of today.

No but then there is no template for taking over United. A club where the manager was as successful, a club which was built around that one man, and a club where the manager was there for so long. Arsenal will be keeping a close eye on how United do this though.
